How do I search for repertoire on musicrepdb.com?

You can either visit the search form which is most appropriate for the search that you are performing, or you may search in the easy search bar in the sidebar. I highly recommend that you try our search forms as these are really what sets our site apart from other sites.

To search in the forms: you may search as many fields as you like but keep in mind that you will be limiting your results with each new field that you include.

My Search isn’t receiving any results?

Do any of them contradict each other? for example if you are searching for a minuet but have selected a composer who has never composed a minuet, you will not get any results. If any of your searches are not yielding results where there should, be we would like nothing more than to hear from you.

How do I view the sheet music?

The Musicians’ Depertoire Database has no intentions of violating anyone’s copyrights. When a piece of music is in the public domain, it may be shown. Also if another site has the item, musicrepdb.com may link to the third party site. Please note that musicrepdb.com does note take responsibility for content on websites beyond musicrepdb.com’s own.

In many cases links will be placed to hear the music for free. This will only be done in a case where it is hosted by a legal site which compensates artists for use of the material.

Does Musicrepdb.com violate any copyright laws?

As far as we know, we don’t, and we’d like to keep it that way! Musicrepdb.com is meant to help you find repertoire which is apporpriately matched to the student based on many search parameters. In most cases, you need for our search engine is to know what it is that you want. Once you know, you are free to locate the music any way you choose, and we usually offer some conveinient options.
